It’s been a fantastic couple of days for Demi Lovato fans. She dropped a new album and just made another exciting announcement. The global super star just announced her first headline tour in over four years. We’re giving you a rundown on everything you need to know.
Dive Into It’s Not That Deep
Last Friday, Demi Lovato released her ninth studio album, It’s Not That Deep. Over the course of her monumental career, the singer has dabbled in multiple genres and styles of music ranging from pop to rock. On It’s Not That Deep, Demi returns to the pop dance sound we’ve heard influences of on previous records. “Fast,” the lead single, sets the tone for the entire album. The dancefloor ready track is energetic, flirty and fun. It’s the perfect song for long, late nights full of dancing.
The other two singles, “Kiss” and “Here All Night” carry the same momentum and energy as “Fast.” Each song demands to be played at full volume. In interviews, the singer mentioned how the album was much lighter compared to her previous work. Lovato, recently married, is in a lighter place and she wanted this album to reflect that. It definitely does. The singer lets loose and has fun. Everything from the cheeky lyrics to the pulsating beats and hypnotic rhythms are bound to have you dancing. Sonically, the album goes deep into multiple styles of dance music. There’s everything from house to techno inspired synths and even drum and bass.
This sound fits Demi quite well. I’d argue that it’s one of her best and more cohesive projects to date. Luckily for fans, she’s going to hit the road and throw a massive dance party all across the U.S.
Coming to A City Near You
Today, the super star announced her first headline tour in over four years. Starting in April of 2026, the singer will bring the “It’s Not That Deep” Tour to cities across North America all the way through April.
Well, if you’re wondering what the show might be like, Lovato gave a sneak peek this weekend at the Hollywood Palladium. The one night only show had 200,000 people in the online queue when tickets went on sale. I was one of the lucky fans who attended the intimate show. As someone who grew up watching with Demi, she’s never been better. Her live vocals are unlike anything else. She knows how to put on a show. Her setlist celebrated the new album as well as the countless hits she’s been releasing since she started making music.
I truly think this will be Demi’s best tour to date. In previous tours, she’s reimagined her older songs to fit the style of her current sound. She does it well, and I am excited to see how she puts a twist on her hits and fan favorites.
This is a show you won’t want to miss! Tickets go on sale this Friday!
