5 Can’t Miss Acts at Hard Summer 2025

by Nathan Corrál

Festival season is in full swing. Summer is the peak of festival season where the sun is out, the nights are cool, and the vibes are immaculate. With so many options to choose from, we’re shouting out one of our favorites in SoCal. Hard Summer 2025 is a little under a month away. They have given us another year with the best of the best talent in the EDM game. With every festival lineup, it’s overwhelming when deciding who to see, especially once set times drop.

No need to worry! The Mic Drop team has picked our five must-sees at this year’s Hard Summer.

Gesaffelstein

DJ, Producer and songwriter Gesafflstein will be taking the stage on day two of the festival. Over the years, Gesafflstein has become an essential staple to any festival lineup. His mindblowing live shows are truly breathtaking. What should you expect from his set? Laser, strobe lights, captivating visuals and the best of the best tracks from his impressive discography.

The Blessed Madonna

On Saturday, get ready to dance to one of house music’s coolest DJs. The Blessed Madonna’s music is all about love, feeling good and happiness. I don’t know a better place than Hard Summer to celebrate that kind of emotion. Not only is her original music fire, she has also remixed tracks for some of music’s biggest names including Dua Lipa and Jungle. You’ll want to have your dancing shoes ready for this set, trust us.

Barry Can’t Swim

Fresh off the release of his brand new album Loner, Barry Can’t Swim will be bringing all the vibes to Hard Summer on Sunday. Barry Can’t Swim’s tropical house music is perfect for any festival but even better for a festival in the summer. While set times aren’t out yet, this would be the perfect set to groove to while the sun is setting, getting the crowd for an entire night of more music and dancing.

Sara Landry

If anyone on this year’s Hard Summer lineup knows how to go hard, it’s Sara Landry. Over the years, Landry has become one of the biggest names in dance music. Her signature hard techno sound has taken her to play some of the biggest festivals all around the world. Whether techno is your favorite or a rare listen, you’ll definitely wanna catch Landry’s set on Saturday. Her appearance at Hard Summer is currently the only LA date she has scheduled so don’t sleep and grab your tickets now if you haven’t.

Propsa

Picking only five acts to recommend was nearly impossible, but we couldn’t forget one our favorite duos in EDM. Prospa is throwing down on Sunday. The UK based duo is known for their modern take on classic rave and house music. A Prospa set is a guaranteed house party full of the best vibes there are. This is another set you won’t want to miss.

Hard Summer is going down on August 2 + 3 at Hollywood Park. Make sure to grab your tickets before the festival sells out. Who are you excited to see at this year’s Hard Summer?
