This past weekend, June 6 & 8, I attended Gov Ball 2025 to photograph the festival for Mic Drop! I survived the heat of day one, skipped the rain on Day 2 and layered up on chilly day 3. The weather wasn’t the only thing that switched up everyday. The lineup was crazy!! Each day had a different vibe.
After a few hours of being hunched over a laptop with photoshop burning into my retinas, I’m ready to take you through the festival with the help of some of the photos I took.
If you were there, we hope you had a good time, if not, we hope this helps you feel like you were! And maybe we’ll catch you there next year?
Gov Ball Day One
Corona park is beautiful and it is HUGE. The festival boasted three stages, VIP lounges, tons of food and drink, merch and most importantly, good music.

The Beaches
I started day one off by catching The Beaches’ set. They had the crowd smiling and swaying. While I haven’t listened to much of their music, I might just have to get into them a little more now.

T-Pain
After I stopped by The Beaches, the noise of the crowd over at T-Pain’s stage pulled me over. People in the crowd were DANCING! T-Pain gave us a lot of his iconic old tunes and even made some time to twerk to Sexxy Red on stage. Safe to say everyone was having fun.

Benson Boone
Next, I ran over to see Benson Boone do what Benson Boone does best, sing and flip around on stage! The crowd was hyped, screaming loudly anytime Boone did one of his signature backflips or jumps. We see you Benson Boone!
Gov Ball Day Two

It was a rainy, rainy day on Saturday. The festival was delayed until 4:30pm and festival-goers were stuck outside in long lines when the gates did eventually open. Many of the scheduled acts of the day were cut completely or were given a shorter set due to time constraints caused by the weather delay.
Olivia Rodrigo
I know I wasn’t there to capture the day but luckily our friends over at Gov Ball gave us some crazy photos of headliner Olivia Rodrigo’s set!
Gov Ball Day Three

Day three got very chilly later on in the day but the lineup brought the heat! I caught a few sets and had a great time doing it.

Raye
It’s so easy to get a good photo when your subject looks like this! Not only does Raye look good, she sounded insane. Mic = on. The Singer stunned in her set, performing older and more recent songs. Her band was also incredible, I had to pause while I was taking pictures to take in the sax.
Raye was one of the only artists that I stuck around for the full set. I literally couldn’t leave. Her stage presence is incomparable and she had the crowd engaged.

The Japanese House
The Japanese House kept the festival grooving and everyone in the crowd was singing all of the words.

Clairo
Clairo and her crew made a dramatic entrance, sipping glasses of wine and holding them out to the crowd in cheers. Her set was gorgeous and the backdrop fit perfectly.

Glass Animals
Glass Animals had the crowd moving like water. Everyone was swaying from side to side and vibing with the music.

Hozier
Poor Hozier was so sick but he pushed through and definitely delivered in his performance. While the Irishman couldn’t hit his usual powerful notes all the way, he still sounded phenomenal and gave fans a performance they deserved.

That’s a wrap on Gov Ball 2025!! Hopefully we see you there next year!
