Since their debut in 2009, Phantogram’s unique sound has accumulated a massive fan base. The duo comprises New York natives and best friends, Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter. Their renowned discography has resulted in countless tours and appearances at some of the biggest festivals in the world. Their unforgettable live shows feature high end production with a stunning light show and visuals. In October 2024, Phantogram released their fifth studio album Memory Of A Day. The new record recalls the ability of certain sounds and melodies that take the pair back to their early years as a band. Memory Of A Day is reminiscent of their first record Eyelid Movies, while also exploring the brand new sounds from the beloved electronic rock duo.

Running Through Colours Tour
For the last two months, Phantogram has been playing shows across North America on their Running Through Colours Tour in support of their new record. It’s the first time fans get to hear the new songs live. Spanning from coast to coast, the band closed out this run of twenty-seven shows to a sold out crowd at the Hollywood Palladium. Friday night’s show was live streamed for fans everywhere to watch.

Chants from the crowd filled a sold out Hollywood Palladium when the lights dimmed, signaling the show was about to begin. Phantogram opened their set with “Jealousy,” a track from the new record. Josh and Sarah have effortless chemistry on stage, truly making for a great show. Early into their set, the band played crowd favorites like “Fall In Love” and “Mouthful Of Diamonds.” Their setlist flowed perfectly incorporating songs from the new album including “Attaway” and “Feedback Invisible” blended with songs from all prior releases. Fans were pleased when the duo performed deep cuts like, “You Are The Ocean” and “Glowing.”
Dynamic Duo
As someone who has been attending Phantogram shows since 2016, it is truly remarkable the ways in which they continuously grow and evolve as a band. With each era the pair expands and explores sonically while meticulously crafting a new live show to fit the world they’ve created with their music. Lead singer, Sarah, never ceases to captivate crowds. She showcases her talent from start to finish alternating from keys to bass to owning the stage with her dancing. All of this works effortlessly with her captivating vocals. Sarah is truly a rockstar. Her other half, Josh, shreds on the guitar the entire show and sings on a handful of songs. The way the two of them move around the stage is almost like they are dancing with each other – playing off one another’s infectious energy as well as the crowd’s.

As the show neared its end, Phantogram played hit songs like “Black Out Days” and “You Don’t Get Me High Anymore.” They had the audience captivated, moving and singing along the whole night. “When I’m Small” concluded Friday night’s show making it one for the books and a tour to remember. Phantogram is truly a one of a kind band who put on a can’t miss show.
