Sonny Moore Reunites with From First To Last For New Single: “Surrender”

Sonny Moore (Skrillex) has returned to his band, From First To Last, to release his second single with the band since his departure in the spring of 2007. Sonny was with the band for their first two albums Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has a Bodycount (2004) and Heroine (2006). Sonny left the band in February of 2007 to focus on his “side” project, Skrillex. Following Sonny’s departure, From First To Last went on to release three more albums including From First To Last (2008), Throne to the Wolves (2010), and Dead Trees (2015).

After years of success following the creation of Skrillex, Sonny rejoined From First To Last in January of 2017 to release “Make War”. From First to Last welcomed Sonny back with open arms as he had just spent the past ten years winning eight Grammy awards, traveling the world as a DJ and gaining international fame for his productions released under his electronic moniker, Skrillex.

Since officially rejoining in 2017, Sonny has remained in touch with the band as it is rumored they are working on their 6th studio album which will be their 3rd with Sonny. The mid-2000s Emo band climbed the ladder back when Sonny was their frontman and his electronic influence can definitely be heard on their most recent single. Sonny teased the new single on his social media claiming he didn’t want to make a “big deal” about it.
