Saturday Bass in LA

by Laneisha Jeans

This weekend in LA, the city explodes with live music tucked into every corner you explore. Whether you’re posted up at a dive bar, sipping coffee at a shop with a makeshift stage, lounging in the park, or sweating it out in a sketchy warehouse downtown, the bass is always bumpin’ just around the corner. Depending on who you know and where you land, the vibes shift completely. In a city this massive, there’s something for everyone.

However, this Saturday caters strictly to those who live for pure, unfiltered bass.

Do you crave bass that rumbles deep inside your belly?

This you?

If so, lock in. I have your itinerary for the night mapped out, so that this Saturday you can feel the bass until the sun rises. Nothing feels better than the air from the subs cooling down your cheeks.

Ternion Sound Final LA Show (System Error)

First up, clear your Saturday night from 9 PM until well into the early morning. Trust me, you’ll need that space, because after Ternion Sound shakes your soul with 140 BPM magic, an afterparty will keep the energy alive all night long. This marks their final LA performance (shoutout to System Error) before the trio parts ways—so yes, this one matters.

Ternion Sound formed from a spontaneous B2B2B between Andrew, Aric, and Jack at Infrasound Music Festival in 2016. If you were at the Beach Stage that year, we are absolutely jealous. What was witnessed was the birth of a legacy. The group’s production hits pristine levels, and they hold a deep appreciation for sound system culture that pulses through every set. 1720, with its intimate and underground vibe, offers the perfect backdrop for this farewell show.

Although they’re wrapping up as a trio in LA, they’ve already left an undeniable mark on the bass scene. They helped spark the US rise of the UK sound—before it became the massive wave it is today—and they did it with genuine respect for its roots.

System Error knows how to get it done when it comes to bass music. This collective curates some of the cleanest bass events in LA, hands down. If you’ve ever been, you know they deliver. This show is an absolute send.

Where’s the Afters?

Once the show wraps, grab your crew and head about 10–15 minutes into downtown LA. The LA Raver and Rave Haven are throwing their monthly afterparty with, HARD RESET. After the chaos of Hard Summer and their sold-out HEAT WAVE Unofficial Afters, the rave fam is overdue for a proper recharge.

This one’s stacked with local and SoCal favorites—NITA, ZaFace, STRYKR, and MA$TERPIECE—but they didn’t stop there. Just last night, they dropped a surprise: Dack Janiels will headline. As the founder of heavy bass crew 40 Oz Cult, he’s bringing enough energy to break necks and probably sell out the night.
