We are just about a month away from the start of this year’s festival season. While most of the major festivals have dropped their 2026 lineups, music lovers are still patiently awaiting for a few more to come. Last week, Northern California’s beloved Outside Lands dropped their insane 2026 lineup.
A Lineup Out of This World
This year, the team at Outside Lands really outdid themselves for 2026. Since its debut in 2008, Outside Lands had been booking the biggest names in music spanning across every genre. The festival has become one that music lovers anticipate the most as the years go on. Previous headliners include Radiohead, Kendrick Lamar, Elton John, Metallica and so many more incredible artists. All eyes were on who would be taking the stage this year, and let’s just say, they did not disappoint.
Headlining the festival grounds at Golden Gate Park are Charli XCX, Rufus Du Sol and The Strokes. This year brings festival staples from all genres. EDM fans have plenty to look forward to at this year’s festival. All weekend long attendees will be able to catch sets from Disco Lines, Lane 8, Ben Bohmer, It’s Murph, Carlita and so many more.
Outside Lands went for the nostalgic feel by booking a handful of bands that defined the 2010’s indie scene. Taking the stage this year will be The XX, Empire of the Sun, Death Cab For Cutie, Modest Mouse and The Temper. If you look at the bottom of the lineup, Death Cab For Cutie’s name appears twice with a moon and sun symbol next to it. This must mean fans will get to see the band play during the day and at night.
R&B and Hip Hop have a large presence at this year’s festival. Fans will be able to catch sets from Mariah the Scientist, Glorilla, Tinashe, Destin Conrad and more! Want something ethereal? Labrinth, Ethel Cain, and Not for Radio, Sports and Night Tapes are all booked for the weekend. If you’re into more singer song writer vibes, you’ll be able to see Lucy Dacus, Audrey Hobert and Billie Marten. Alt Rock acts like Turnstile, DJO, Wet Leg, Geese, The Story So Far and more! We can’t forget about artists like JADE, Dijon, Frost Children and Clipse.
This lineup is stellar! It might be one of the best for the 2026 festival season.

Outside Lands 2026 will take place August 7th-9th in San Francisco, California. Every year, the festival announces the day lineups with the options for festival goers to choose one or two days to attend if they don’t wish to go the entire weekend. While those are not out or on sale, three day passes are on sale now. Be sure to act quick because they are flying fast. With a lineup this good, is not going even a question?
