As Coachella approaches, so do a handful of Goldenvoice Presents April Coachella sideshows. For those who don’t know, Goldenvoice Presents April brings multiple artists from the festival bill into small, intimate venues up the coast of California. The shows take place between both weekends of Coachella.
1. Thee Sacred Souls 04/09/2025 @Fox Theater Pomona
Soul trio Thee Sacred Souls are taking over the Fox Theater in Pomona two days before their Coachella debut. The band is fresh off the release of their second studio album Got a Story To Tell. The band meshes their retro sound together perfectly on stage creating an unforgettable show you will not want to miss. Since their debut in 2020, the band has gained over seven million monthly listeners with their tracks “Can I Call You Rose” and “Will I See You Again.”

2. Ravyn Lenae 04/10/2025 @De Young Museum
Ravyn Lenae will be playing at De Young Museum in San Francisco on the eve of Coachella. Bird’s Eye his the second studio album from the R&B singer, featuring collaborations with Childish Gambino and Ty Dolla $ign. Lenae turned heads back in 2022 with her track “Skin Tight” with Steve Lacy. She has also has collaborations with Kaytranada and Rex Orange County. The Chicago-born musician brings her smooth and sultry vocals onto the stage, creating a beautiful experience for her fans. I was lucky enough to see her open up for Omar Apollo a few years ago, and she is a live act not to be missed.
3. Parcels and Ginger Root 04/16/2026 @Fox Theater Pomona
Electro-pop band Parcels is taking over the Fox Theater Pomona on April 16th. Their groovy tunes are making their ay back to the Coachella stage for the first time since 2019. The Australian band is beloved by my for their hits “Tieduprightnow” and “Lightenup.” Their renewed live shows make them a staple at any festival. Opening the show that night and also making an appearance at Coachella this year is indie soul artist Ginger Root. The California native has been on the road in support of his latest release SHINBANGUMI. Lead singer Cameron describes his sound as “aggressive elevator soul.” Put that together with the signature Parcel’s groove will make for a can’t miss show.

4. Ben Böhmer 04/17/2025 @The Warfield
For fans of electronic music based up north, Ben Böhmer is stopping by The Warfield between Coachella weekends. The producer’s melodic house is truly addicting. It is easy to listen to and quite dreamy. With an upcoming appearance at Coachella, fans are hopeful that new music may be on the way. Böhmer’s last full length release was his album Bloom in 2024. For those ho are not familiar with Böhmer, I would highly recommend giving his catalog a listen if you enjoy music from Lane 8 or Rüfüs Du Sol.
5. Eli Brown 04/18/2025 @Sound
To all my techno lovers out there, best be sure to catch an unforgettable set from Eli Brown at Sound Nightclub in Los Angeles. The powerhouse DJ has been on a nonstop roll since his breakout into the scene in 2016. Recently, it was announced that the producer will be playing the Yuma tent at Coachella – if that’s any indication of what kind of set to expect from the DJ. His music is high energy and very easy to grove to.
