It’s a good day for Ariana Grande fans everywhere! The pop star just announced the highly anticipated deluxe version of her 2024 album eternal sunshine. The news of Brighter Days Ahead comes fresh off of a jam packed award season. Grande has been delivering unforgettable looks on red carpets from the Golden Globes to the Oscars to the SAG Awards for her stellar performance as Glenda in Wicked. The deluxe album will officially be released on March 28th. Here’s everything we know so far.
While asked about Eternal Sunshine deluxe during interviews on the red carpet, the singer was reluctant to use the word “soon” to reduce the pressure of spilling the release date. Well, the time has finally come for the long awaited announcement of Brighter Days Ahead. This past October, Grande gave fans extra sunshine with eternal sunshine (slightly deluxe). This extended version of the record featured collaborations with Mariah Carey on a remix of “yes, and?” and Troye Sivan on “supernatural.” Shortly after, Grande released a remix of her hit, “the boy is mine” with Brandy and Monica. The remix went on to earn the trio a Grammy nomination for best pop duo / group performance. Included in this release was an acoustic version of “imperfect for you” and an acapella version of “true story.”

Ariana Grande is still keeping fans on their toes by hiding the extended tracklist. Fans are getting six new songs, but the titles and possible features are yet to be revealed. It is unconfirmed if the tracklist will be revealed before the release date. Some fans have begun to speculate who may be featured on Brighter Days Ahead. It would not come as a surprise if Cynthia Erivo made an appearance on a song after how close the co-stars became while filming Wicked. Rumors of Billie Ellish appearing on the record are also in circulation but have yet to be addressed or confirmed.
Brighter Days Ahead has a brand new look with a fully reimagined cover. Grand wears a white gown, suspended in mid air. Above her a bright light shines, illuminating her the rest of the cover pitch black. Her recent performance of “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” at The Oscars felt like a subtle easter egg to the new cover. At the ceremony, the singer, stood under black clouds illuminated in a rainbow, translucent light. Fans also have the option of choosing an alternate cover for CDs and Vinyl on her webstore. On alternate cover Grande poses with her face exposed in a vibrant, blue light; her hand partially covering her face. When it comes to album covers, Grande always out does herself.

While Grande has denied there being any possibility of their being a potential tour in support of Eternal Sunshine, fans should not be discouraged. There is always a possibility the star might have something up her sleeve. Whether the performer plays any shows, fans have Wicked part two to look forward to which premiers in fall 2025.
