The weekend is finally here! With the excitement of the holiday next week, we can’t forget about all the new tunes that dropped today. We picked a little bit of everything for our Mic Drop listeners for this New Music Friday. We picked out new releases from Kali Uchis, Polo G, Anyma and more!
“Muévelo” Kali Uchis
Are you ready to dance? Coming in hot is Kali Uchis with her brand new song “Muévelo.” On the track, Uchis blends old school reggaetón and dembow rhythms to create a dance floor ready beat. The energy on this one is contagious. Originally, “Muévelo” was a leaked demo from one of Kali’s previous album cycles. Now fans have it available at their disposal. We are going to have this one on repeat all weekend.
“Out Of My Body” Anyma and EJAE
Next is a brand new, hypnotic track from one of the most in demand electronic dance artists in the game. On “Out Of My Body,” Anyma takes listeners to a trance realm with pulsing rhythms and atmospheric synths. Anyma brought along EJAE to provide her dreamy, ethereal vocals on the track. The listening experience is almost an out of body one. That is a skill Anyma has perfected in the course of his career.
“Hard Body” Polo G
Another new release we can’t get enough of is Polo G’s Hard Boy. The rapper spits heavy bars about his struggles and resilience in the highs and lows of life. Polo G is a story teller and “Hard Boy” is a perfect example of the way he has mastered his craft of telling stories through music. The production is hard and gritty. Sonically the track features a classic Polo G trap type beat. He crushed it with this one.
ALREADY LEGEND. (Gifted Edition) YNF Lucci
Next in our New Music Friday round up is YNF Lucci’s expanded version of ALREADY LEGEND. The Gifted Edition is twenty seven tracks with the addition of six new songs. Sonically the project is Lucci’s classic melodic Atlanta trap. His story telling shines from start to finish along with some impressive features like Lil Wayne, Yung Thug and 21 Savage to name a few. This is the perfect concept of a deluxe version of an album to press play on and lose yourself in the music.
“Lonely Girl” Skye Newman
So far this New Music Friday has been pretty solid. Why stop there? Next we bring you Skye Newman’s “Lonely Girl.” If this is your first time hearing of Skye Newman, you’ll want to keep your eye on here in 2026. “Lonely Girl” is an alternative R&B style song with subtle elements of afro beats. The beta of this song is addicting. Lyrically, Newman sings about dynamics in relationships. I’m obsessed with this one.
“maybe this year” Ambar Lucid
Closing out this week is a holiday inspired track from indie artist Ambar Lucid. This one is a bit of a tear jerker. Lyrically, Lucid reflects on the previous year and longs for the changes in the one ahead. The minimal production emphasizes all she has to say creating an emotional listening experience.
