Mic Drop’s 2025 Holiday Playlist

by Nathan Corrál

This year’s holiday season is in full swing! Whether you’ve already attended a couple holiday parties or you are gearing up for your first of the season, we got you covered. We hand picked a list of our favorite holiday songs that should be played at every party this holiday season!

“Last Christmas” WHAM!

First, we are starting with the obvious. WHAM!’s “Last Christmas” is one of the best Christmas songs of all time. George Michael’s vocals deliver pure heart ache over a lover from the prior holiday season. I’m sure we all have experienced heartbreak around the holidays and “Last Christmas” makes us feel a little better. Especially someone who is as talented as the one and only George Michael.

“All I Want for Christmas Is You” Mariah Carey

hComing up next, is a track from the Queen of Christmas. Mariah Carey’s record breaking “All I Want for Christmas Is You” has become the official song that rings in the start of the holiday season. Every year, Mariah’s incredible voice soundtracks our holiday festivities. “All I Want for Christmas Is You” might be the best Christmas song ever made. All you need is one listen and you’ll understand why.

“Santa Doesn’t Know You Like I Do” Sabrina Carpenter

In recent years, “cuffing season” has been synonymous with the holidays. What’s better than having a crush and doing a bunch of cute, holiday activities with them? Sabrina Carpenter’s “Santa Doesn’t Know You Like I Do” channels all those feelings. Sabrina’s vocals are soft, singing a catchy chorus that you will have stuck in your head all day. Sabrina can craft amazing pop songs and perfect pop songs with a holiday twist. To see more of Sabrina giving holiday cheer, check out her “Nonsense Christmas” on Netflix.

“Present Without A Bow” Kacey Musgraves & Leon Bridges

Next, we selected an iconic Christmas collab from Kacey Musgraves & Leon Bridges. “Present Without A Bow” is one the cutest Christmas metaphors to ever exist. Musgraves and Bridges’ voices perfectly blend together. A catchy chorus and sentimental verses are the perfect combination for an unforgettable Christmas song. Want more holiday cheer from Musgraves? “Mistletoe” Justin Bieber

Another tune that gets us in the holiday spirit is Justin Bieber’s “Mistletoe.” Bieber’s vocals are smooth over soft instrumentals. It’s impossible to resist the urge to feel the Christmas cheer when this one comes on. “Mistletoe” has been an essential song on my Christmas playlist since it came out.

“This Christmas” Donny Hathaway

We’re going way back with a Christmas classic. Donny Hathaway’s “This Christmas” is one of my favorite Christmas songs of all time. What’s not to love about it? His soulful voice singing about how special the holiday season will be spreads contagious joy and cheer.

“My Only Wish (This Year)” Britney Spears

Rounding out our list is the princess of pop’s “My Only Wish (This Year).” Britney Spears gave us this Christmas class back in 2000, and it has been a staple in our Christmas playlist ever since! We love this one because we can sing our hearts out and dance along.
