Happy Friday music lovers! This week we bring you a hand picked list of tracks from across multiple genres. Whether you are feeling a more chill, mellow sound or hot and heavy EDM for your weekend, we got you! Featured in this week’s round up are tracks from the Wicked For Good soundtrack, Fred again…, Laidback Luke and more!
“Winny” Fred again…, Sammy Virji and Winny
“Winny” brings the forces of Fred again…, Sammy Virji and Winny for a sick new track. Fred’s signature electronic house clashes head first with Virji’s garage bass touch to create something you’ve never heard. Winny’s hypnotic vocals grab your attention from the second she starts singing. This might just be one of our favorite dance collabs to drop this year.
“For Good” Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande
One of the biggest, if not the biggest weekend for the box office and musical theater lovers is finally here. Today, the Wicked For Good Soundtrack dropped and we are already signing our hearts out on our way to the big screen. One song from the soundtrack has captured our hearts. The heavenly voices of Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande shine bright on “For Good.” This song is packed with emotion, tugging at every inch of your heartstrings until a tear (or more) falls from your eye. You bet we will be crying our hearts out to this at the movies this weekend.
“Crystallise My Tears” Danny L Harle, Oklou and MNEK
Ready for another collab by three of music’s precious gems? Next, we have “Crystallise My Tears” by Danny L Harle, Oklou and MNEK. So many genres, styles and sounds come together to create a magical hyper pop dance track. Harle brings the A game with his production accompanied by Olou’s ethereal vocals and MNEK’s UK garage influence. This one will be on repeat all weekend.
“Thrill of the Night” Sébastien Tellier, Slayyyter and Nile Rodgers
You know how they say all good things come in three? We got another three star collaboration for you. “Thrill of the Night” unites Sébastien Tellier, Slayyyter and Nile Rodgers for a groovy track. The three lean heavily into disco evoking feelings of times nostalgic for long nights dancing to disco until the sun came up. We know and love Slayyter for her electro / hyper pop, but on “Thrill of the Night” she showcases a side of her voice that we haven’t really seen. The disco sound fits her quite well. This one will have you dancing all night long.
CODE/RED Laidback Luke
We’re keeping the dance party going with a brand new EP from super DJ and producer Laidback Luke. On CODE/RED Laidback Luke embarks on a sweet homecoming to the raw and underground style of music that defined his early days as an artist. Everything from the electro house groove to the soulful vocals make this the kind of project you want to play at full blast.
“Find Your Love” 54 Ultra
Closing out this week’s New Music Friday is 54 Ultra’s “Find Your Love.” 54 Ultra brings everything we love about oldies with his fresh take and soulful, synth pop to create dreamy tunes. This one will have you in your feels.
We hope you love everything we picked this Friday! See you next week!
