Happy Friday, Mic Drop. In some places, fall is in full swing. Meanwhile, the summer heat continues to linger on just a little longer. While the seasons change, so do the sounds that soundtrack our days. That doesn’t stop the joy and excitement that comes with each New Music Friday. This week, we bring you new albums from Cardi B, Lola Young, fresh singles from RAYE, Amber Mark and more!
AM I THE DRAMA by Cardi B
Cardi B is back with her first new album in seven years. AM I THE DRAMA? follows 2018’s Grammy award winning Invasion of Privacy. The twenty two track album features Cardi’s hit songs “Up” and “WAP” featuring Megan Thee Stallion. Mega stars including Selena Gomez, Janet Jackson, Lizzo, Summer Walker and Tyla also appear on the record. Our stand out track from AM I THE DRAMA is “Safe” featuring Kehlani. “Safe” leans more into RnB styles and influences. The two stars sing about wanting someone who makes them feel safe over wealth and luxury. Along with the new album this week, came the rapper’s announcement of a massive North American tour.
I’m Only F**king Myself by Lola Young
Speaking of highly anticipated albums, Lola Young dropped her brand new album I’m Only F**king Myself. After going viral with her hit song, “Messy” all eyes have been on the singer waiting to see how she would follow up. Rest assured she did not disappoint. On her new album, Young gives listeners everything we know and love about her. Her songwriting is raw, vulnerable and emotional. At times, the lyrics feel right out of someone’s diary. Sonically, Young fuses anthemic pop rock with slight psychedelic and funk influences. “Post Nut Clarity” is one of the many tracks on the album that encapsulate the pure talent that is Lola Young. Everything about this record is absolutely stunning.
“WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!” by RAYE
Global sensation, RAYE shines on her brand new single “WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!” After playing this song to massive crowds, RAYE has ended the snippets and teasing with its release today. A catchy chorus and high energy presents itself with witty and playful lyrics. The jazz inspired song is dramatic and over the top, everything we love about RAYE’s catalog. Check out Cheyenne’s rundown of the track here.
“Too Much” by Amber Mark
Ahead of her third studio album, R&B singer Amber Mark gives fans another taste with “Too Much.” Something in the pre-chorus sounds familiar? Mark tastefully interpolates Ushers and Alicia Key’s 2004 smash hit “My Boo. Sonically, Mark expands her alternative R&B and Soul sound on “Too Much.” The rest of 2025 has much in store for the singer. Her new album drops on October 10th, and she will be opening for Sabrina Carpenter on select dates in November.
“yes baby” by Madison Beer
Closing out this week’s roundup in Madison Beer’s hypnotic dance track “yes baby.” Beer heavily leans into synth pop and alternative dance elements. Her sultry vocals will have you hooked from the moment you hit play. Everything from the build up to the flirty lyrics make the track absolutely perfect.
What a stacked week! We hope you love everything we picked out. See you next time!
