Ethereal indie pop band New Constellations is composed of long time best friends Harlee Case and Josh Smith. The Portland based duo met when they were teens. After meeting they explored their musical gifts and talents forming New Constellations.
Their 2021 debut single “Hot Blooded” turned heads instantly and began accumulating thousands of streams. Since then, the dreamy duo has continued to build their cosmic universe with stellar singles. New Constellations make music that perfectly soundtracks and captures the feelings of being young and full of life. Their anthemic dream pop takes main character energy to a whole other level.
Last night, New Constellations brought their magic on stage to a sold out show at the Lodge Room in Highland Park.

Sold Out Show
Inside the Lodge Room fans eagerly waited for New Constellations to take the stage after unforgettable opening sets from Kaela and Jane Leo. When the lights dimmed, cheers, chants and claps filled the venue as the pair stepped onto the stage. They opened their set with “Does It Feel Like This?” the follow up track to “Hot Blooded.” Fog crept out from sidestage setting a dreamy scene accompanied by changing fluorescent lights. Front woman, Harlee Case, wore a white dress with a black corset over it. Her pastel pink hair and combat boots compliment her undeniably cool, rock’n’roll stage presence. Case’s other half Josh Smith shined on both guitars and synths the entire show. Without a doubt, the two are musical soulmates. They share an undeniable on stage chemistry that shines when they stand side by side and bring their cosmic tunes to life for fans.
As the show went on, New Constellations played beloved tracks like “Think It Over” and “Sun Chasing the Rain.” Those in attendance also got a sneak peak of what’s coming from the indie band.

New Constellations, New Album
All throughout the show, the band spoke in thoughtful detail to their fans about the journey they’ve been on that brought them to a sold out Lodge Room. Currently, New Constellations only had singles out, but what they have given fans thus far is more than promising. On stage, the band shared that they have been working on an album for the past nine months. They played several unreleased songs, one of them called “Dandelion.” After hearing it once, fans cannot wait for the day it drops.
The show got quite emotional when the band reminiscenced on their last LA show at Gold Diggers. Their fan base has continually grown, bringing them to their biggest headline show to date. Out of all the special moments from last night, that one that grabbed my attention was the sentimental intro before the band played “Hot Blooded.” Live music brings people together and New Constellations not only did that, but did an amazing job at doing so.

Coming To A City Near Year
