One of the best ways to spend a warm, summer night in July out in LA is watching live music. Mic Drop had the pleasure of attending Buscabulla’s show at Echoplex. The band is currently on tour in the U.S. in support of their brand new record Se Amaba Asi. Earlier this week, we deep dove into the duo’s most personal work to date. In case you missed it, check it out!
I can’t think of a better band to grace a stage in the midst of summer. The music’s vibe and the band’s swagger perfectly soundtracks a summer night. It was truly an unforgettable show and a night to remember.

All Eyes on Buscabulla
Anticipation and excitement from the crowd filled Echoplex, as fans waited for Buscabulla to come on stage. When the lights went dim, cheers from the crowd echoed from every corner of the room.
Busbulla began their set with “El Camino,” the opening track to their new record Se Amaba Asi. Front woman Raquel Berrios stunned in knee high leather boots and a sheer, black top making her look as ethereal as ever. Her partner Luis Alfredo Del Valle rocked an all leather look wearing a vest unbuttoned that matched his pants.

The on stage chemistry between Berrios and Valle is quite captivating. Valle’s swag and charisma meshes perfectly with Berrios’ fierce attitude. Berrios commanded the stage from start to finish delivering dreamy vocals. The pair brought immaculate energy; the crowd matched it cheering and singing along to every song.

Buscabulla’s set consisted of old and new songs. They played fan favorites like “NTE,” “Nydia” and threw deep cut “Métele” in their set. The band also played many songs of Se Amaba Asi including “Mi marido,” “Te fuiste” and “Miraverahí.”
One of the most special moments during last night’s show took place during “El empjue,” a soft track with Valle on vocals. Se Amaba Asi is the first time fans get to hear vocals from Valle. As the band cleared the stage, Valle joked that it was his turn on the mic. There was something magical taking place as he strummed his guitar and sang on stage in a single spotlight.
Encore!
In the final moments of their show, Buscabulla continued to give everything they had on that stage. While they played their hit Tártaro, they sang parts of “Andrea,” their collaboration with Bad Bunny. The crowd went even crazier.

If Buscabulla isn’t on your radar, they should be. They have created a tropical soundscape with their dreamy tunes and bring their songs to life on stage beautifully. The chemistry on stage between Valle and Berrios is truly a sight to see. A Buscabulla show is full of high energy and endless dancing.
