This August, YUNGBLUD is stepping off the stage and onto the big screen. His new feature-length documentary, YUNGBLUD. ARE YOU READY, BOY?, premieres in cinemas worldwide for two nights only – August 20 and 24. Tickets officially go on sale July 17 at yungblud.film, so mark your calendar and get ready to set those alarms.
But don’t expect a standard concert flick. Directed by award-winning filmmaker Paul Dugdale, this documentary captures YUNGBLUD (aka Dom Harrison) in a completely different light. No screaming crowds. No pyrotechnics. Just the artist, his band, and the raw process of bringing his newest album Idols to life in Berlin’s legendary Hansa Studios. If you’ve ever wanted to see what happens between the writing, recording, and releasing of an album, this is it, messy emotions and all.
Berlin, Hansa Studios, and Making Idols

Why Berlin? Why now? According to YUNGBLUD, the choice was intentional. “Berlin has always radiated complete, unfiltered truth,” he said. Hansa Studios holds serious music history: it’s where icons like David Bowie recorded Heroes and U2 laid down Achtung Baby.
For YUNGBLUD, that history hit differently while making his most personal record yet. Speaking about the process, he shared: “You can feel the history in Hansa; it’s in the silence between takes, the ceiling looming over you. You’re standing in the shadows of all these legends and asking yourself ‘who the f*ck am I? And what am I gonna leave behind?’”
Idols, released this past June, already became YUNGBLUD’s third consecutive No. 1 album in the UK. But ARE YOU READY, BOY? isn’t just about celebrating that success. It captures the in-between: the quiet, intense period right after finishing the record but before sharing it with the world. That tension is what makes this documentary feel so raw and special.
An Unfiltered Look Behind the Scenes

Director Paul Dugdale describes that moment as “such a unique time for an artist.” He explained, “We can enter into it without any external noise or preconception. It allowed us to make something unaffected by the outside world, and there’s a really pleasing purity about that.”
The film is two hours long and blends black-and-white footage, color shots, and even sequences captured on 16mm film for extra mood. It features 12 brand-new live performances from Idols, filmed without a live audience… Just YUNGBLUD, his band, and the cameras rolling through every take, with nothing to hide. You’ll see the tension, the exhaustion, the quiet moments between takes, all captured in stunning detail.
Dugdale called the chance to capture YUNGBLUD in that state “an absolute privilege,” saying, “Dom gave himself completely to the filmmaking process and I feel so proud of what we achieved together.”
Where and When to Watch

Produced by B.R.A.T Productions and Aldgate Pictures, and distributed by Trafalgar Releasing, ARE YOU READY, BOY? is set to screen in 30 countries, including across 150 UK cinemas. That means whether you’re in London, New York, or anywhere in between, you’ve probably got a theater near you showing it.
If you’re ready to see a new side of YUNGBLUD, less arena rockstar, more reflective artist, this is your moment. Tickets for both screenings go live July 17. You can grab them at yungblud.film. Don’t sleep on it; two nights only means two chances to catch it in theaters.
