What We’re Listening to Wednesdays 10

by Cheyenne Leitch

OMG we’re back with another hot track list and it just so happens to be week TEN! Thanks for journeying with us through our weekly unpacking of the songs we are pumping through our headphones! Let’s get into this week’s roundup with a bonus 10th track in honour of our 10th edition!

My Selects

Track One – “TaTaTa (feat. Travis Scott)” – Burna Boy

Afrobeats royalty Burna Boy teams up with La Flame himself, and it’s exactly the global bop you didn’t know you needed. Infectious rhythm? Check. Laid-back Travis bars? Double check. This one sounds like the main character anthem of summer 2025.

Track Two – “She Don’t Have To Know” – John Legend

Before he was serenading Chrissy on Instagram, John Legend was dropping scandalous slow jams like this. Smooth, sultry, slightly shady and it’s giving 2000s R&B drama in the best way possible.

Track Three – “Church (feat. Teddy Verseti)” – T-Pain

File under: Certified Throwback. T-Pain takes us to church, but like, with subwoofers. Gospel choir meets club energy, and Teddy Verseti brings the chaos. If you’ve ever fist-pumped in a pew (no judgment), this one’s for you. And if you’re looking for more throwbacks, check out Laneisha’s latest edition of Timeless Tuesday

Nathan’s Selects

Track Four – “Gare du Norde” – Claire Laffut

This track is like sipping a neon cocktail in a Paris jazz club, but make it indie pop. Claire Laffut delivers soft vocals over woozy synths, and the result is so effortlessly cool. Oui to all of it.

Track Five – “Cigarette” – Harvey Sutherland

Warning: May cause spontaneous dancing. This funky little number glides with groove, retro flair, and electronic slickness. It’s giving ‘late-night rooftop party with stylish strangers’ and we’re obsessed.

Track Six – “Te Fuiste” – Buscabulla

Sad, sexy and synthy. This song is like a dreamy breakup text wrapped in reverb. Buscabulla blends tropical flair with indie melancholy, and somehow it makes heartbreak sound like a vacation. Put this on repeat and vibe it out.

Laneisha’s Selects

Track Seven – “the space between two world” – Nujabes

A masterclass in chill. Nujabes creates a sonic hug with jazzy beats and lo-fi magic. It’s giving late-night journaling, incense burning, stars-aligning energy. Highly recommended for when your soul needs a breather.

Track Eight – “FROM YOUR EYES” – f3miii

This one is like floating in a dreamscape built from heartbreak. f3miii brings the feels with whispered vocals and stripped-down production. It’s soft, vulnerable, and absolutely haunting, in a play-it-three-times kinda way.

Track Nine – “…Unknown” – Nosaj Thing, Jacques Greene

A glitchy, gorgeous swirl of ambient emotion. This collab feels like floating through cyberspace with your feelings on fire. Moody, mysterious, and made for headphone-only moments. Don’t skip it.

BONUS TRACK

Track Ten – “I Killed You” – Tyler, The Creator

Tyler, The Creator does what he does best: goes full drama king. “I Killed You” is equal parts theatrical and emotional; a moody deep cut that blends cinematic strings with bars that cut like a knife. It’s brooding, bold, and so Tyler. Perfect for when you’re in your villain era but still a little in your feels.

We’ll see you again next Wednesday for some more tracks to fuel your week of listening!
