The premiere rap festival is making a triumphant return to the sunny shores of Miami! With the Coronavirus vaccine being available to everyone, music festivals are finally approved, and Rolling Loud is taking full advantage.
Making this event a reality, however, has been a scheduling nightmare for over a year. The original 2020 date has been shifted several times, first moving to the summer of 2020 (before they realized how bad the pandemic was going to be). Then, it was moved to February 2021, but organizers felt the world still wasn’t quite ready. To compensate, they hosted a virtual live stream with some of their lineup from the original 2020 date. After a solid year of stress and rescheduling, they finally settled on summer dates July 23rd – July 25th, 2021.
Now that it’s official, they dropped the lineup last week along with the new dates. As someone who mainly listens to rap, it is stacked with every rap artist you could imagine. My favorites on this lineup are Lil Uzi Vert and Megan Thee Stallion – it’s going to be a hot girl summer in South Florida. With headliners A$AP Rocky, Travis Scott, and Post Malone, every day is going to be a rager.
Travis Scott is a reoccurring headliner at Rolling Loud, but for good reason. He is known for his “Astroworld – Wish You Were Here” tour being intense when it comes to the crowd. You’ve seen the meme of him screaming and holding his microphrone stand over his head with flames shooting up in the background – well, that’s just a glimpse into his shows. No matter where Travis is performing, you know it’s going to be full of mosh pits and getting trampled by other people in the crowd. He is definitely my favorite out of the three headliners. I can’t wait to see him perform “NO BYSTANDERS”. This song is a classic that everyone knows, whether you’re a Travis fan or not.
Although tickets sold out in just four hours, you can sign up for the waiting list to see if you can get yourself a ticket!
