The weekend is finally here, and boy have we rounded up some fire releases! This week’s New Music Friday includes new albums from Kali Uchis and Erica de Casier, along with singles from Miley Cyrus and Duke Dumont

More to Lose by Miley Cyrus

“More To Lose” is the fourth single from Miley Cyrus’ upcoming album Something Beautiful. This heartfelt ballad explores the themes of fading relationships and loss. It will leave you gutted and in your feels. The singer’s vocals are soft and airy until she belts her heart out in the second half of the song. Vocally, the star is delivering some of the most impressive vocals of her career. “More to Lose” begins with a soft orchestral arrangement until a dreamy piano trickles in accompanied by Cyrus’ singing.

All I Can Say by Kali Uchis

 

“All I Can Say” comes fresh off the sixth studio album by critically acclaimed singer, songwriter and producer Kali Uchis. With each release, Uchis continues to grow and evolve as an artist, while maintaining elements of her early days so many fans fell in love with. With so many standout songs to choose from, we chose “All I Can Say.” Sonically, the singer explores a soul revival sound taking the retro route. It is a brand new side to the singer sonically and she merges into the genre effortlessly. Sincerely, is out now and we cannot recommend checking out this gem of an album enough.

Lifetime by Erika de Casier

Singer, songwriter and producer Erika de Casier has released her fourth album Lifetime. Prior to the album’s release, Casier sent out limited edition cassette tapes to fans. This marks the first release under her own label Independent Jeep Music. Lyrically, the record takes an introspective approach exploring themes of aging and mortality. Sonically, Casier captivates listeners with a hypnotic, soulful sound. The record is dreamy and mysterious, calling listeners to dive into each song head first. 

Your Loving by Duke Dumont

DJ and producer Duke Dumont has shared the first single from his forthcoming album Union. “Your Loving” features Dumont’s distinct, signature house sound that has gained him a massive following over the years. Sonically, the song is trance-like. He created a world for listeners to lose themselves in. The song’s building is euphoric and freeing when the beat drops. The single’s cover art matches exactly how listening to the song feels: being in a room full of music lovers, sitting on someone’s shoulders to take in the experience of dance music in its entirety.

1234567 by BETWEEN FRIENDS 

Brother and sister duo BETWEEN FRIENDS are in their feels on “1234567.” Over the years, the bedroom pop band has perfected an alt pop sound like no other. Their catalog is guaranteed to make anyone nostalgic of their youth and the freedom of being young. On “1234567,” BETWEEN FRIENDS adds elements of electro to their alt pop sound to give listener’s an anthem. The catchy chorus brings the temptation to start belting aloud. The duo is set to release their second studio album this summer.

Origami by Z3LLA


Electronic duo Z3LLA have made their Dim Mak debut with their brand new single “Origami.” The best friend duo launched into the dance scene full force meticulously creating a blend of US/Uk house sound. “Origami” combines house beats with atmospheric vocals that invites listeners to let loose.
