Los Angeles based artist Kid Bloom has had an exciting year full of new music. The indie rocker has been busy in the studio working on the follow up to his 2022 album, Highway. In August, the singer gave fans a stellar 8-track EP Shaky Knees. Just a few short months after the EP’s release, Kid Bloom gave fans another taste of what he has been up to. “Afterlife” is the first single from the musician’s upcoming album INNER LIGHT.

Lennon Kloser (Kid Bloom) is notable for his distinct 70s electronic pop rock blended with psychedelic synths and beats. Kid Bloom broke into the scene with the release of his debut EP in 2016 Different State of Mind, showcasing the immense talent of a star on the rise. Several singles came after leading up to the singer’s 2017 debut record A Long Kiss Goodbye. This record indulges more in the sound of electronic, disco and funk.
On top of releasing singles, EPs, and albums over the past several years, the rockstar has been consistently touring; mastering a remarkable live show. In addition to the numerous headline shows under his belt, Kid Bloom has opened up for acts like The Neighbourhood and Bad Suns. After a back-to-back release of an album and EP, Kid Bloom is preparing to give fans another album in the upcoming months. “Afterlife” is the latest single from the musician’s forthcoming album, INNER LIGHT.
AFTERLIFE
On “Afterlife” Kloser sings reminiscently of an incident between he and a lover. The ambient intro welcomes in a groovy bass line and choppy drums. His vocals are crisp and raspy until he breaks out into his soft higher register in the pre-chorus. The signature use of dreamy synths play throughout the track. The song ends with muffled vocals accompanied by an acoustic guitar. Along with the single, fans were given a stunning visual. Kid Bloom undeniably knows how to get listeners moving. “Afterlife” is only a glimpse of what is to come on his upcoming album.
INNER LIGHT TOUR
A brand new Kid Bloom album means a handful of live shows. The INNER LIGHT tour will start in Los Angeles in February 2024 with dates slotted all the way through March.
