Brooklyn’s Hottest Party Is In A Bathroom?

What’s Xanadu?

This past Saturday, July 19, my camera and I made the long haul (20 min subway ride) trip from Williamsburg over to Bushwick for Xanadu’s Club Flush. Xanadu Roller Arts is a retro-futuristic roller rink and creative playground where disco beats and neon lights collide. Blurring the line between skate culture and underground nightlife, it’s equal parts dance party and fever dream.

The venue has quickly become a cultural hub for Brooklyn’s alternative partygoers, offering a rotating calendar of events that spotlight both up-and-coming DJs and bold, immersive design. It’s a place where experimentation is encouraged and where no two nights feel quite the same.

Party Where You Potty

Just past the iconic roller rink, tucked away in the corner is Club Flush and yes, its exactly what it sounds like. A club in the bathroom! The mini club features a DJ booth, red walls, red doors, a red sink and bathroom stalls with red lights. The low light space brings most of the vibe but the DJ’s bring the rest of it.

Despite the unconventional location, Club Flush has been carefully designed to enhance rather than distract from the experience. The all-red lighting creates a cohesive visual language, while the compact layout encourages connection between DJs and dancers. It’s intimate, high-energy, and unapologetically different.

DJ’s Alex Raouf and AG

Alex and Adam’s set was all over the place in the best way! They bounced from genre to genre and vibe to vibe and kept the crowd engaged the entire time. I don’t think anyone in Club Flush stopped moving the whole time the two were spinning. The best way to describe the night is a little something for everyone.

Their set was mostly house and the two threw in some more mainstream remixes and throwbacks. They spun tracks from Bad Bunny to Nelly and slipped heavy bass and groove in between the bodies of everyone dancing.

Their track selection struck a perfect balance between accessible and underground, pulling the crowd in with recognizable hooks before shifting into more rhythmic, percussive territory. The pacing of their set was intentional, building momentum in a space that could have easily felt too cramped or chaotic. Instead, it felt electric.

People were singing and sweating along to the music for hours! Alex and Adam created a real sonic melting pot that I think everyone there was elated to experience. Club Flush was lucky to have them.

Final Thoughts

Club Flush isn’t just a novelty, it’s a genuinely well-executed concept that challenges what a dance floor can look and feel like. With DJs like Alex Raouf and AG setting the tone, it becomes clear that a great party is never really about the space, but about how the music transforms it. In a city full of overdone venues and recycled ideas, Xanadu stands out by offering something raw, intimate, and creatively fearless.
