This Week’s Headlines Explained Through Song

Let’s break down all the most relevant pop culture news, but explain with a song!

Elon Musk Unveils the “Tesla Bot” At the Tesla AI Event

The robot is humanoid shaped, 5 foot 8 inches tall, and designed to do things like run groceries and fix a car. All of the body parts work like a humans would and the head and shoulders are one big screen. It’s also designed so that people are able to “most likely overpower it” if need be.

Oh, and it also looks like this-

Cool cool. Not scary at all. Yeah, this whole thing is screaming “Mr. Roboto” from Styx.

Fortnite Rips Off Among Us

Popular first person shooter game Fortnite has recently announced the addition of “Imposter Mode” to the game. Players try to find out which character has been assigned the role of “imposter”, and kill them off before the imposter kills them. Of course, this is exactly what the game Among Us is, and because of this both gamers and Among Us’ company Innersloth are very upset.

I wanted to pick “Déjà vu” by Olivia Rodrigo for this one, but it seemed too easy. So “Copycat” by Billie Eilish it is.

ABBA Teases New Album After 40 Year Hiatus

Beloved Swedish pop band ABBA has been making waves online after revealing that their new album “Voyage” will be released on September 2nd, the band’s first since 1981’s “The Visitors.” A website for the album, launched on Thursday morning. Announcements include a hologram tour accompanied with at least five brand new songs from the quartet. I can’t even think of any jokes for this. This is the best thing ever.

This song choice is easy. It’s simply a little message to the happiest band in the world. “Thank You For The Music”

“Spider-Man: Far From Home” Trailer Finally released

After months of waiting, Sony and Marvel dropped the trailer to Tom Holland’s third “Spider-Man” movie a few hours after it was leaked. Fans were delighted to see that, true to the speculation, Willem Dafoe would be returning as the Green Goblin from the 2002 film “Spider-Man”,  and Alfred Molina would be returning as Doc Ock from the 2004 movie “Spider-Man 2”, both starring Tobey Maguire. Everyone’s still holding out hope that Tobey and Andrew Garfield will make appearances in the film too, and the way the MCU is going right now, that’s entirely possible!

Bringing back villians and maybe even heroes from Spider-Man past, huh? Sounds like we might be “Right Back Where We Started From”…

So there’s the news ladies and gents! And until next time, remember- “If a picture is worth a thousand words, imagine how much a song is!”
