The Best Study Playlist You’ve Ever Seen

It’s back to school season! Finally the children of America will return to the hallowed halls of their respective educational buildings and continue their studies. This time in front of teachers and their fellow students! Just like God and Dewey Decimal intended.

As great as that is, I believe that this sudden push into “the norm” will result in one big problem. These kids are so behind on the socialization they need to stay sane, that they may forget to study at all. Why would they want to study at home when that’s all they’ve been doing for the past year and a half?

Fortunately, I have a solution. Contained in this article is by far, indubitably, the best list of study music that you’ve ever seen in your life. And no, I don’t care that it’s probably the only list of study music you’ve ever seen, I’m still claiming that title.

Almost Anything By Pyotr Ilyich TChaikovsky

Tchaikovsky, a Russian composer born in 1840, is considered to be one of the best for a reason. His operas and ballets are world renowned for their incredible composition and sweeping crescendos, and many of his pieces are some of the most recognizable in music history. Some of his works include The Nutcracker (25 minutes long), Swan Lake (2 hours long) and Sleeping Beauty (3 hours long).

Piano Jazz

Wanna feel like you’re in a different time AND the smartest person in the room? Piano Jazz is the way to go! Relaxing enough to not be a distraction, yet upbeat enough to keep you awake. It’s the perfect fusion of classical and club. It can be a bit difficult to recommend specific people, as jazz is improvisational most of the time, but here’s a short compilation I found on YouTube that’ll show you what I mean.

Nintendo Music

I’ll be honest, I really don’t know how to explain this one. I have no clue how Nintendo’s composers manage to fit so much peace, good vibrations, monotony, and mindlessness into their music every time, but they always do it. Whether it be from Mariokart, Kirby, Animal Crossing, or even the dang menu, Nintendo’s music always seems to be perfect to study to for hours at a time. It even has bonus nostalgia points!

lofi hip hop beats to relax/study to

Out of all the options I placed here today, I think this one is the most widely known among my generation. A part of the YouTube channel Lofi Girl, this 24/7 livestream plays music from the genre lofi hip hop, which generally consists of relaxed hip hop beats, sometimes original, sometimes sampled from music young and old. It’s incredibly relaxing and showcases the insane talent that hip hop producers have.

Even the hip hop girl has become a cultural icon!

So, I hope this list has been helpful for all you returning students this school year. I know it was for me! And by that I mean I literally listened to all of these things while writing this article.
