Sunset Music Festival has become a staple in the electronic music scene, taking place every Memorial Weekend as tradition. The weekend long event will be hosted once again at Raymond James Stadium. This Tampa treasure is staying true to it’s mission to bring as many big names as possible into one space.
EDM stars like Dillon Francis, Alesso, ILLENIUM, are just a few examples of heavy hitters on this line up. We have to give credit to the diversity here too! The sets range from groovy house music to ground-shaking bass and even a little head-bumping techno.
Sunset spares no expense when it comes to aesthetics. The festival is decked out in tons of Instagram worthy backdrops making for the perfect photo op. From the classic umbrellas hanging in the air to the surreal stage designs, SMF has its finger on the pulse when it comes to the EDM scene. From the mesmerizing art to the craziest neon fits you’ve ever seen, it makes for quite a visually pleasing scene.
However, the festival isn’t limited to just music and visuals. They have stands where you can make your own bracelet, merch tents, and food galore.
Holding a festival in May in Florida comes with it’s own unique weather challenges, but SMF is always looking out for you. There’s a general store with basics that you may have forgotten, like feminine hygiene products and sunscreen. They even have a space where you can buy charging sticks if you run out of juice on your phone.
The cool down tent may be the COOLEST spot of them all. See what I did there… This is a popular spot to take that mid day break, and even has a DJ to keep the vibe high.
From what I can see from watching videos, the SMF community is amazing. I’ve never personally been to this event, but it’s absolutely on my summer bucket list. If you’re as excited to hit this show as I am- you can get tickets here!
