Songs I’d Pay to Hear for the First Time Again

The first time you hear a song can be such an impactful moment. Especially if you fall in love with that song instantly. The only thing that sucks about falling in love with songs immediately, is that you’ll never get that first listen feeling ever again.

I am the queen of running a song into the ground. If I find a song that I like, I will play that thing over and over and over again. For days. Until I find another song to do the same thing with. Hearing your favourite track on repeat can be one of the best feelings, but nothing compares to that first listen.

So here are some songs that I’d pay big money, or sell my soul to hear again for the first time!

My top 5…

softly” (remix) – Amber mark ft. popcaan

Although this song only recently came out, I’m already obsessed. Amber Mark never disappoints with her soft, sultry voice. Not to mention Popcaan, bringing a smooth, sexy verse to the song.

Ain’t that easy” – D’angelo and the vanguard

If this doesn’t give you ‘doing nothing on a Sunday morning’ vibes, then I don’t know what will.

Germs” – Sycco

This is one of my favourite songs from Australian singer-songwriter, Sycco. Her unique sound and lyrics are always so much fun to listen to. This song sounds like neon lights and kaleidoscopes.

Bounce” – Flatbush Zombies

I don’t even feel like I need to explain this one.

Untitled” – Isaiah Rashad x Goldlink

The violins, the lyrics, the flow, and the vibe. I mean. C’MON.

And some honourable mentions…

Drawn” – De La Soul (feat. Little Dragon)

I Got Money Now” – Deante’ Hitchcock (ft. JID)

Under The Sun” – Dreamville, J. Cole & Lute, (feat. DaBaby)

Pull up” – Blanco

Risk” – FKJ & Bas

Who You Foolin” – Gunna

Outré Lux” – Photay (feat. Madison McFerrin)

Fountains” – Drake (ft. Tems)

Redbone” – Childish Gambino

On the Corner” – K Camp

Someone please let me know when they figure out how to bottle that first listen feeling! Until then, I’ll be listening to these on repeat.
