Rufus Du Sol Lights Up Miami

Rufus Du Sol, Australia’s premeire indie-house band, took the stage at Miami’s Bayfront Park on May 11th. A highly energetic crowd piled in for hot, sweaty, South Florida Saturday night of music. As the sun set, the venue lit up for one of the most anticipated shows of the season. Miami was in for a treat.

Since 2010, Rufus Du Sol has shown the industry they could perfectly blend indie with house music, creating a new genre of their own. This never before heard, totally unique sound opened many doors for the band to show the world their talent. With Tyrone Lindqvist as lead vocalist, Jon George on keyboards and James Hunt on Drums their gifts come together to create an unforgettable performance. A show lit with beams of color and synths that could be heard from the heavens.

After releasing their album Bloom in 2016, the songs Innerbloom and You Were Right went Platinum with over 30 million streams each. As I stood in the crowd taking in their music, I had no doubt they worked endless hours to make such a perfectly crafted playlist. Every persons’ face had a smile from ear to ear as they played their song Eyes especially. There was something about their performance that I will never forget. Maybe it was the music, the skyscrapers towering over the venue, or maybe it was just the indescribable vibe. Regardless what it was, Rufus Du Sol deserves a thank you from Miami for a night to remember.

Rufus will be on the road for the majority of the year, see if they are coming to a city near you!
