Five Track Friday- Genre Mix

The Month of New Music

I officially declare April the month of new music. Every week so far we have been blessed with new albums from some of the biggest in the business. Cardi, Nicki, Ariana, J. Cole, and Post Malone to come. Perhaps the most surprising release is Ariana Grande, whose been on social media hiatus since 2017. However, the internet is even more shocked by her album cover, rocking a low pony instead of her signature high ponytail. Which begs the question, will this album show a whole new Ariana or was it simply a style change? This week we did a genre mix of pop, rap, reggae, and EDM. Start your 4/20 with my personal favorite track of the week Medication, a Marley-Khalifa crossover. As always, the full playlist is posted at the bottom of the article.

Ariana Grande- No Tears Left to Cry

J. Cole- ATM

CLOSE- Rae Sremmurd (feat. Travis Scott)

Medication- Damian (feat. Stephen Marley, Wiz Khalifa)

Martin Garrix- Game Over

Every other week I like to feature an up and coming artist to support. This week rapper and friend to the site, T-Rova, has a special 4/20 show at Crowbar in Ybor City. Here’s a link to his song Designer, support your local artists!
