Drake and 21 Savage Announce Co-headlining Summer Tour

If you thought this summer’s concert season was stacked, prepare to add another show to your list. Multi-platinum artists Drake and 21 Savage just announced their “It’s All a Blur Tour” presented by Cash App, Visa, and Sprite. The announcement was accompanied with a video highlighting Drake’s career thus far.  The dynamic duo joined forces last year with the release of the joint album Her Loss, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with 404,000 album units.  This tour gives fans a chance to see some of their favorite songs from the new album live, plus some solo numbers from both stars.

The tour kicks off in Toronto at a TBA venue and date. In the US, New Orleans is the first stop on June 16th, and the tour spans all summer with the last show on September 5th in Glendale, AZ. Some highlights of this run of dates include 4 nights in New York City, and 4 shows in Los Angeles.

Presale Information

This tour has two presale options for ticket purchasers, in addition to the general on sale. The first presale, on Wednesday March 15th  is for Cash App Card users. More information on this presale can be found here. There is also a Sprite Presale on Thursday March 16th local time for each venue. You can create an account to unlock the presale here.

General Sale is on Friday March 17th at 12 pm, and I’m sure these are going to go fast.

Will this be another ticketing fiasco?

This tour is sponsored by Live Nation, which has some questioning the accessibility of tickets. Since nearly every venue on this tour uses Ticketmaster, some fans might experience issues trying to secure tickets. Given the ample non-Ticketmaster presale options, along with multiple dates in each city, it seems that this could be a smooth ticketing process. In addition, there seems to be gaps in the tour itinerary, which suggest additional dates could be added in the future.
