Camp Bisco Artist Spotlight: Walker & Royce

Camp Bisco is right around the corner — just less than a month away. This means that before we know it, Montage Mountain will be thumping with house anthems of Walker & Royce. Bisco’s lineup this year is dominated by incredible bass music acts, but this Dirtybird duo will be bringing us a much needed house break on the last day of the festival.

Sam Walker and Gavin Royce paired up in New York back in 2011, but to this day these two are defining their sound and pushing the boundaries of house music. Their signature low-end bass, hypnotic vocal features, and collaborations with house music OG’s like Green Velvet have turned many heads over the past decade. The undeniably catchy hit single, “Take Me To Your Leader” with robotic vocals from Dances With White Girls has grown into nothing short of an anthem in the house music scene.

Another great track “Rub Anotha Dub” with Green Velvet made the duo’s groove-heavy sound super popular in the club scene. Both of these tracks made it into the Top 10 of Beatport’s overall Top 100 list.

Walker & Royce have big plans for this summer. While on the 2019 Self Help Tour, it’s hard to name a festival they’re not playing at. Besides making their stop at Camp Bisco, they’re featured on lineups like that of Electric Forest, Breakaway Festival, Deep Tropics Festival, and Electric Zoo. As they continue to build their empire, I suggest hopping on the bandwagon at Camp Bisco. Besides, we can all use the change of pace after a long  weekend of mind rattling bass.
