The start of a new year is always exciting. It brings in new opportunities & new adventures. There’s always tons of new movies and TV shows to look forward to and most importantly; new music. Several new album announcements have already happened while other are still a mystery.

Lukas Graham: Known best for his hit song “7 years” Lukas Graham is coming back to release his new album titled 4 (The Pink Album). He has not released an album since his 2018 when 3 (The Purple Album) came out. Throughout the last few years he has put out a multitude of singles, some of which could end up on the album. On November 22nd, Graham posted a video clip on Instagram. The clip was from the music video for his recent single “Wish You Were Here”. At the end of his caption he wrote “The PINK album will be out January 20th 2023 after a lot of delays, lol. But I wanted it to sound right and now it does.” You can preorder the PINK album here or stream it when it comes out on January 20th!
A “ROCKIN” NEW YEAR
Måneskin: In 2021, Måneskin won the Eurovision Song Contest while representing Italy. The band already had popularity in Italy after winning the Italian X- Factor in 2017. Winning Eurovision skyrocketed the group to international recognition. Their newest album Rush! will come out on January 20th 2023. So far, they have put out three singles for the album with a fourth set to come out on January 13th 2023. “Mammamia” is the lead single released on October 8th 2021, followed by “Supermodel” on May 13th 2022, and most recently “The Loneliest” on October 7th 2022. On October 31st, the bands official Instagram posted a photo of the album cover with the caption “Rush! The new album from #Måneskin is coming January 20th, 2023 ❤️🔥”
Paramore: If you’re a rock fan or a fan of early 2000s nostalgia then you’re going to be THRILLED about this album. Paramore is back with their first album since 2017. This Is Why will be out everywhere on February 10th 2023. On September 28th the band posted on their official Instagram a clip of a recent music video. The captioned announced the video release and their newest album saying; “”This Is Why,” the album. Feb 10. “This Is Why,” the music video. Out now.” On December 8th, the band released their second single “The News”. Other track titles on the album include “Big Man, Little Dignity”, “You First”, and “Liar”.
NEW YEAR, NEW POP
Sam Smith: “Unholy” by Sam Smith and Kim Petras has been trending all over TikTok for the last few months. This song is the most recent single of of Smith’s new album Gloria. The song came out on September 22, 2022. A few months prior to that on April 28th, the singer released their first single “Love Me More”. Smith announced the album on Instagram on October 17th. They posted the cover of the album with the caption; “Dearest sailors⚓️ I am overjoyed to announce that my fourth album is called ‘Gloria’. It will be yours on the 27th January 2023, and you can pre-order now.” A track list has already been released for this album & includes titles like “No God”, “How to Cry”, and “Six Shots”. The record includes collaborations with artists like Jessie Reyez and Ed Sheeran.
Lana Del Rey: There are few artists who are more iconic than Lana Del Rey. Lana only recently announced her album on December 7th. That same day she released the first single which is also the name of the album “Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd”. In classic Lana fashion, the singer decided to promote the album in the most unusual way possible. Instead of promoting her album on Billboards in New York City or Los Angeles, Lana got exactly one billboard in the town of Tulsa, Oklahoma. What is the significance with Tulsa, you ask? That would be the hometown of her ex-boyfriend, Sean Larkin. Del Rey made a post on her Instagram of her and the billboard with the caption “There’s only one and it’s in Tulsa ☠️” The album is set to include 16 tracks and will be released on March 10th 2023.
