Mic Drop Music was founded by Jessica O’Connor in January 2018. What started as a solo post-grad project has steadily evolved into an international creative collective. In the 5+ years since MDM’s inception, Jessica has expanded from a staff of 1 to over 40 creatives. Attracting talented writers, photographers, and videographers from every corner of the United States and even Australia. Known for their stellar interviews and reviews, Mic Drop has been invited to cover 35 music festivals and counting. The latest expansion of the MDM brand is Mic Drop Music Talk, one of the first video podcasts to be featured on Spotify. The sit-down interview style show features 21 different artists of all genres- filmed in the Mic Drop Studio in Hollywood, California. Each episode is hosted and produced by Jessica, filmed by Hakim Tatah, and edited by Erik Boq. Mic Drop has become an established and respected name in the music industry due to their many years of entertaining, reliable, and honest content.
