Your Electric Zoo 3.0 Playlist

We’re just over three weeks out from Electric Zoo 3.0 and the hype is mounting! With the lineup set and over a hundred thousand projected attendees, EZoo 2022 is bound to make waves. Such a monumental event requires preparation. Not only will you need to pick out your festival fits and hydrate, you’re going to need a playlist to get you into the EZoo mood. Lucky for you, we’ve made just that.

Below are a few songs from Electric Zoo headliners. From seasoned EDM veterans to new artists to the scene, the festival boasts a wide range of experience and style.

“Something Comforting” – Porter Robinson

Attendees are thrilled to have Porter Robinson closing out the first day of the fest. It will be interesting to see where he pulls his setlist from. The American DJ released his transformative album Nurture last year, his first since Worlds in 2014. The new album has a more tranquil sound, one not often heard at a festival. While Robinson will no doubt pull from Worlds, I would love to hear “Something Comforting” from Nurture. Watching him blend his new serenity with the Electric Zoo environment will undoubtedly be memorable.

“On My Mind,” “Right 2 Left” and “Humble” – Diplo

It’s difficult to pick one tune from Diplo’s self-titled 2022 album. This seventeen track opus (not including the remixes) is packed with features and alternate versions. In terms of live performance, the three track, house-infused run including “Right 2 Left,” “Humble” and the album’s top track “On My Mind” would be electric.

“Feel Again” – Armin van Buuren

Armin van Buuren was one of four artists to perform at the very first Electric Zoo festival in 2009. Now he’s back with a brand new, festival-ready album. Most every song on Feel Again, Pt. 1 is energetic and bass-infused. I am most excited to hear the title track, “Feel Again.” The track mixes exciting production with smooth, ethereal vocals from feature Wrabel.

“Made in France” – DJ Snake

Although we haven’t received a traditional album from DJ Snake since 2019’s Carte Blanche, everyone is confident in his set. The French producer hails from one of the house capitals of the world, infusing it with his trademark ramping, trap sounds and rhythmic, repetitive lyrics. “Made in France” possesses each of these elements, as well as the ability to control the EZoo crowd.

“Follow” – Martin Garrix, Zedd

Dutch DJ Martin Garrix is one of the youngest Electric Zoo 3.0 headliners. Garrix has been active as a DJ since 2012, but has released his only two albums in 2021 and 2022. Of all the fresh music offered by Garrix, I most hope to hear “Follow,” the lead track of 2022’s Sentio. The bass-heavy anthem expertly balances intensity with less abrasive sounds. It is a perfect piece for a large venue.

“Overthinker” with inzo and “Color Of Your Soul” feat. griz – CloZee

CloZee takes what is known and adds a sort of heavenly twist. Maybe it isn’t heaven, but it’s certainly otherworldly. CloZee delicately handles intensity, organically turning chaos into something tranquil, like an untamed ocean becoming a steady stream. This is “Overthinker.” It is electric poetry. However, CloZee can dial it up when she wants to. “Color Of Your Soul” is a demonstration of the opposite. What at first appears peaceful soon makes your heart race, but never loses the air of dexterity in its craft.

So there it is! A small taste of what could be an iconic Electric Zoo weekend. For more information about the venue and lineup, check out our article here.
